Learn About the Academy

I am waiting for my case to come up
and I am waiting
for a rebirth of wonder

– Lawrence Ferlinghetti

We would like to invite you to visit the website of the Academy for the Love of Learning to find out about our commitment to a rebirth of wonder. Reimagining the very purpose of education—emphasizing the beauty of learning itself—has inspired those who have come into contact with the organization for over two decades

The mission of the Academy is to awaken, enliven, nurture and sustain the natural love of learning in people of all ages. We seek to encourage and cultivate the powers of critical thought, imagination, curiosity, innate sense of purpose, wonder and inspiration, and an ongoing awakening of the heart.

The Seton Legacy Project is one of several programs operated by the Academy. Admirers of Seton’s Lifecraft—an alignment of self-reliance and personal responsibility with an emphasis on our relationship with the natural world—will find much to like in the Academy’s offerings.

The Academy’s Learning Model integrates the steps of Experience, Reflection, Critical Inquiry and Application. Founded by Aaron Stern, Academy programs combine his decades of knowledge in education with those of other leaders in the field.
